Black and white real photo postcard of the "Hall of Justice Villa Zorayda, St. Augustine, Florida".
Known as Zorayda Castle, Villa Zorayda was built as the summer home for eccentric Boston millionaire, Franklin W. Smith in 1883, and sold furnished with art and rare antiques to Abraham Mussallem thirty years later. Now a museum and added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, the home is still owned by Mussallem family and contains the home's original art and antique collection assembled by Franklin Smith and Abraham Mussallem.
The postcard includes a white-ink handwritten caption. Based on the stamp box, the postcard is a chloride print and the manufacturer was DOPS. Like many chloride prints of this era, the photo is toned a warm brown.
