A very special vintage ST. THERESE OF LISIEUX HOLY WATER FONT from Germany. The beautifully crafted bisque font is hand-painted. It is in wonderful condition and measures 6 ¾” tall by 2 ⅞” wide. Impressed stamp on the back reads Germany above the numbers 13587. There is a hole in the back for hanging on a nail or hook.
The body of the front is a colorful hand-painted statue of St. Therese carrying a crucifix and pink roses. Pink roses also decorate the hand-painted blue vessel. The roses represent the philosophy of St. Therese on little flowers and nature and symbolize her promise to shower roses on earth while she is doing her unfinished ministry in heaven.
