Collection: Limoges French Porcelain

Limoges porcelain is a hard-paste porcelain, similar to Chinese porcelain produced by factories in and around the city of Limoges, France beginning in the late 18th century.  Like Quimper, Limoges does not refer to a particular manufacturer but the region where the porcelain is produced.  The city has maintained its position as the premier manufacturing city of porcelain in France and was the center for a number of private factories including Bernardaud and Haviland.
